Lloyd F. Champion
Lloyd F. Champion, 92, of Murray, KY, formerly of Cherokee County, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004. A native of Minidoka County, ID, he was the son of the late Macon and Maude Eunice Moody Champion and the husband of the late Grace Hamby Champion. Lloyd was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army in the 727 M.P. Battalion.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bill" Champion and Boyd Champion.
Surviving are a niece; and three nephews.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 7, 2004, at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Ivie Funeral Home of Murphy was in charge of the arrangements.
