Minnie Walker Barton Rhodes
Minnie Barton Rhodes, 96, of Murphy died Monday, September 15, 2003. A native of Graham County, she had lived in Cherokee County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John B. and Ellen Parton Walker and the wife of the late Gay Z. Barton and Robert Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by three children, Bob Barton, George William Barton, and Christine Smith.
Surviving are a daughter; a son and daughter-in-law; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 18, 2003. Burial was in Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home of Murphy was in charge of the arrangements.
